The physical body is an exquisite, living record of every threshold it has ever crossed. Chronic pain, structural restriction, and mental static are rarely just physical ailments—they are the armor the nervous system wears when it loses its sense of safety.
At Soma Temple, we look at the human system through the ancient framework of the Pancha Koshas—the five layers of our existence. We recognize that true healing cannot happen by treating the physical body (Annamaya) in isolation. We must also harmonize the flow of vital energy (Pranamaya), quiet the emotional mind (Manomaya), cultivate inner wisdom (Vijnanamaya), and ultimately allow the system to rest in its natural state of pure, undivided peace (Anandamaya).
My own journey with these traditional sciences began at my roots in Tamil Nadu, India, where I was born and early on initiated into the path of Kundalini Yoga. This foundation opened my understanding of how vital life-force energy and physical alignment govern our well-being. To deepen this somatic calling, I spent years studying on the mat, training extensively in the traditional lineages of Mysore, India, and Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Before transitioning fully into a therapeutic practice, my path explored the boundaries of nature and human safety across vastly different landscapes. I spent years working as a corporate health and safety officer, a wilderness outdoor educator, and a child & youth care worker. Alongside these roles, my own personal healing was profoundly shaped by the guidance, culture, and land-based wisdom of Indigenous peoples in Canada. Learning from the land taught me how to listen to the natural world, respect ancestral lineages, and cultivate a deep sense of relational reciprocity.
These diverse experiences taught me a singular, vital skill: how to navigate crisis, establish absolute environmental safety, and maintain a deeply grounded psychological presence. This background ensures that when you are on my mat, your nervous system is held in a completely secure, steady container.
The physical care I offer is directly rooted in these sacred, lineage-held bodywork systems. By thoughtfully integrating rhythmic, acoustic resonance, visceral abdominal release, and traditional pelvic alignment, the physical and energetic layers of the body are invited to decompress. As a certified Birth and End-of-Life Doula trained in traditional midwifery, this same grounded care is extended to support the body through life’s ultimate transitions.
Whether you are uncoiling deep physical tissue restrictions, balancing reproductive channels, or seeking a quiet space to integrate life's major thresholds, my role is simple: to offer an unshakeable, steady presence—creating a pristine environment where your nervous system can deeply rest, decompress, and return to its natural baseline of power and well-being.
